Information regarding the processing of personal data by the Lublin Museum in Lublin
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, Official Journal of the EU, L 119/1 of 4 May 2016 (hereinafter: General Data Protection Regulation), the Lublin Museum in Lublin, as the Controller of your personal data, being an individual (data subject), provides the following information.
1. Data concerning the Administrator
The administrator of personal data is the National Museum in Lublin with its registered office in Lublin at Zamkowa Street 9, 20-117 Lublin, email: dyrektor@mnwl.pl.pl
2. Appointment of the Data Protection Inspector
A Data Protection Inspector, Paweł Czuryło, has been appointed at the National Museum in Lublin, and can be contacted electronically at: iod@mnwl.pl. The data protection inspector can be contacted in all matters concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights related to data processing.
3. Purpose of personal data processing
Your personal data will be processed mainly for the purpose of fulfilling our statutory activities, in particular:
- cataloguing and scientific processing of collected collections,
- organizing permanent and temporary exhibitions,
- organizing and conducting research and scientific expeditions, within the scope resulting from the Museum’s activities,
- conducting educational activities,
- conducting publishing activities within the scope resulting from the Museum’s activities,
- fulfilling legal obligations incumbent on the Administrator, on the basis of art. 6 sec. 1 letter c) of the General Data Protection Regulation for Tax and Accounting Purposes,
- resulting from legally justified interests pursued by the Administrator, on the basis of art. 6 sec. 1 letter f) General Data Protection Regulation), i.e.:
- a) for the purpose of marketing the Administrator’s own services and products,
- b) for the purpose of determining, defending and pursuing claims,
- c) for the purpose of creating reports, analyses and statistics for the Administrator’s internal needs, including reporting, marketing research, service development planning, creating statistical models,
- d) for administrative purposes, as well as to ensure network and information security.
4. Legal basis for the processing of personal data
- Article 6 sec. 1 letter c of the GDPR in connection with:
– the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 987 and 2015, item 1505);
– the Act of 25 October 1991 on the organization and conduct of cultural activities (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 406, of 2014, item 423 and of 2015, items 337 and 1505);
– the Act of 23 July 2003 on the protection and care of monuments (Journal of Laws No. 162, item 1568, as amended);
- Article 6 sec. 1 letter a GDPR – in the scope of personal data going beyond the scope of mandatory data resulting from legal provisions.
5. The recipients of your personal data are:
• entities supporting the operational performance of the Agreement, such as: technical support for devices and products used to perform the Agreement, invoice support, contact platform support, entities conducting postal and courier activities,
• entities providing advisory, consulting, auditing, legal, tax and accounting services to the Administrator.
6. Transfer of data to a third country
Personal data collected at the National Museum in Lublin may be made available to the co-organizer of the virtual exhibition, i.e. the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.
7. Personal data
Personal data will be stored for the duration of the Agreement and, to the extent related to the defense or pursuit of claims, until the claims are time-barred. The Administrator may store personal data longer, but this will only happen for legitimate reasons, if the law permits such storage.
8. Rights
You have the right, in relation to your personal data, to the extent and subject to the exceptions resulting from the GDPR or other legal provisions, to:
• request the Administrator to access your personal data,
• request the Administrator to rectify your personal data,
• request the deletion of your data,
• request the restriction of data processing,
• object to the processing of your personal data,
• transfer your data to the extent specified in Art. 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation,
• file a complaint with the President of the UODO if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations.
Providing your personal data is voluntary, but necessary for the implementation of the purposes indicated above.
