A silver necklace with a profiled rim. The finely crafted clasp catches the eye in the first place. One of its sections has the form of a rhomboidally elongated plate; the other was moulded into a pear-shaped loop. The two parts of the clasp wire wind around the upper section of the necklace rim: five times on one side and six times on the other. The silver necklace from Podhorce is the first and only piece of this type of jewellery found in the territory of Poland. Similar decorative objects come from no closer than the Eastern Baltic cultural area, i.e. today’s Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The find may have been a votive item.
