A late Avar bronze fitting for belt end. It has the shape of a rectangular plate, rounded in the lower section. Its upper part has two lugs to make it easy to mount the item on a leather belt. The two surfaces are decorated with stylized plant motifs, including three-leafed palmettes, on a concave background. The item has some traces of gold plating. It was made using lost-wax casting. The decorative motif was produced by punching and chasing.
